Presidio law group

Shawn Salehieh is a dedicated and determined criminal law attorney who will fight for your rights. He is conversant in several languages including Spanish, French, Italian and Farsi.
He was born in Iran and came to the United States with his family as a child. In 1993, he graduated from McGeorge Law School and was admitted to the California Bar.
Mr. Salehieh feels that the most extraordinary aspect of law practice in the United States is the jury system. "Every time I have a jury trial, I realize how fortunate we are to live here in the United States. Apart from the fact that in many countries around the world there is no freedom of expression, no freedom after expression, and no due process, there is seldom the privilege of having your day in
court."
Shawn Salehieh strongly believes in giving back to the community. Winner of over a dozen awards for his pro bono activities over the years, he has also been a regular attorney volunteer for the Bar Association of San Francisco's Volunteer Legal Services Program, its Legal Advice and Referral Clinic, and San Francisco's Project Homeless Connect.
When he is not managing his successful criminal law practice and is between pro bono events, he is usually sailing on San Francisco Bay on a friend's boat or walking Jasper, his springer spaniel in various San Francisco parks.

Have You Been Charged with a Crime? We Can Help.
If you or a loved one has been charged with a crime, whether it is a first offense or not, you or your loved one faces the possibility of going to jail. Finding an experienced lawyer is very important, but the process of locating and hiring the right lawyer can be difficult and overwhelming.
It is critical that you get a lawyer as soon as possible and that you say nothing to the police or to the prosecution without your lawyer present.
If your loved one is already in custody, you need a lawyer who can help arrange for his or her release so that your loved one's time in jail is kept as short as possible while awaiting trial.
Do I need an attorney to represent me?
Yes, you do. Since your freedom is at stake, you should have an experienced criminal defense attorney on your side to ensure that you get the best possible deal for you. Even if you are guilty of the charges brought against you, a determined lawyer on your side can protect your rights and help you keep your freedom and good name.
Is it possible to get a charge reduced?
Yes. Under certain circumstances, a good criminal defense attorney can arrange with the prosecutor for a lesser charge or lighter sentence
If I committed the crime, should I just plead guilty and get it over with?
No. The prosecutor must prove the State's case against you beyond a reasonable doubt, and if there is not enough evidence against you, then you cannot be convicted.
